LOUIS ARMSTRONG NEW TERMINAL PROGRAM

Description: The new world-class Louis Armstrong International Airport is a 972,000 sq. ft. terminal complex which replaced the existing airport terminal, apron and roadways. This complex consists of 3 concourses, 35 gates, 45 new food, beverage and retail concessions, in-line baggage screening system, a 17-lane consolidated checkpoint, 5,600 new parking spaces amongst 2 new parking garages and 1 new surface lot.

Through this project CAP Global Works leaders managed a large team of design, construction, and operational readiness professionals with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities. Through regularly meeting with numerous internal and external stakeholders the CAP team helped to oversee the $1B+ New Terminal Program. An overview of our responsibilities included, but were not limited to: Resolving problems and proposing solutions for client consideration, analyzing program strategy and risks, developing and managing budgets and operating plans, producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle, creating policies and procedures to support the airport’s strategic direction, and more.
